It’s hard to sum up Nana in one story because she was always there, part of my everyday life. She was always happy to hear about my day, to drive us places as kids, sew or knit us clothes. She was the best neighbour, the best babysitter, the best Nana. I’m glad you’re at peace and reunited with Grumpa and your sisters. Love you lots!
Dear Andrea, Peter, Pat and Tim,
What a lovely photo of your mum here. I saw your mum’s obit in yesterday’s Globe and called mum and dad (Ann and Bill Rudd) to read it to them. We are all sad to hear of your mum’s death. I have fond memories of both your mum and dad, they were such warm people, and mostly I remember the boxing day visits, and also how gracious you kids all were with the young John and me, and taking us up to play with that huge remarkable train.
Mum and dad are doing OK, they have both lost the ability to read (macular degeneration) and dad needs 24 hour care, but are on their own in the old Sir Adam Beck condos having only sold their home 3 years years ago. I am in Vancouver, a prof at UBC, John in NYC, in finance, so we are not close which is hard as they get older.
Andrea – say hi to Dale, I can still picture his classroom at Central and talks after math class!
We Rudds all send our condolences, dad said he would write you a note, but unless his care worker does, he is unable to, but know that they are thinking of you.
Sally

Sincere condolences on the passing of your mother. May your memories of her and your father be a source of comfort to you in the days ahead.

Pat introduced me to Jo, Blake, and the Fewster family way back in 1953! It was a joy to meet and know Jo. She was one of a kind, and I treasure happy memories of our many get-togethers.
My deepest condolences to the Fewster family.
Sincerely, Jean Keating
