Predeceased by her beloved husband Walter (1997); her brothers, sister and their spouses Fred (Helen), Mil (Ed) and Ken (Mary). Keith Nethery and members of St. Stephen’s Memorial Anglican Church, especially pastoral visitor John Biro; private PSW Janet Patrois; Mike Dawson of At Your Service for Seniors; Dr. Julie Clarke; Dr. Mary Jenkins and staff of the Movement Disorders Clinic at University Hospital; and the Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario. I met Doris at Westmount Gardens when I used to visit my mother. Doris was such a sweet, dear lady – loved by all who met her and Sandra’s dedication to her mother was very touching.
Sandra: Doug and I are very sorry to hear of your mom’s passing…she must have been one of St. Stephen’s longest standing supporters. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time.
Take care.
Dear Sandra,
I was very sorry to read about the passing of your mother. May God comfort you and your family during this sad time, and may you remember all the happy times with your mother.
Sincerely,
Bruce Tallman
Sincere condolences to you all. We first met Doris when we started attending St Stephens in 1972. Doris did a lot for the church in her unassuming way. She will be missed by many.
Such a gentle soul, rest in peace !
Sandra: So sorry to read about your mother’s passing. I remember how much she liked to hand out Halloween candy when you were at work. I could hear occasional laughter at the different costumes she saw. Such a nice lady. She will be missed.
Such a fun, feisty, courageous and compassionate woman to have known. I still have a cross-stitch she made that hangs in our guest room and welcomes all who come to our home. I think it could be her life’s mission statement: “God grant me the serenity to accept what I cannot change, courage to change the things that I can, wisdom to know the difference.” She has faced much in life and has done so with grace. Beloved child of God, rest in peace.
