(I’m hoping this gets through to someone)
My name’s Georgia and whoever receives this will probably not know me but I’ve known Willnah (fondly, Granny Willnah) for as long as I can remember. She’s been practically family, being close friends with my grandparents Harry and Daphne Bolton, and somewhat of an adoptive grandmother to my own mother. She took up a similar role with me and I only have fond memories of her. When I was 6 she came her along for show and tell in my first grade class, bringing with her an old teddy bear and sharing it’s story as well as many others of her own. She was there for every one of my birthdays and I always loved going for tea at her house, especially when she had the yard that backed on to the forest and she’d tell me about the dear. Whether or not it was still in her possession, I gave her a little Bambi toy when I was 4, which she said she held onto when she moved as a memento of this. Granny Willnah used to often share stories of the theatre (as that is where she met my grandparents) and is part of the reason I got involved in acting. She has always been an important part of my life and I was utterly heartbroken to hear of her passing. I know she will be horribly missed and I wish I could’ve only seen her one last time. My condolences to family and friends.

I had the great pleasure of working in the theatre with this wonderful woman. She leaves a legacy of are, concern, warmth and commitment to all.
I met Willnah at Wesley Knox Church; she and I had several things in common. Both of us had served in the WRNS and we both enjoyed acting. We often shared stories of the many experiences we’d had and laughed a good deal.
I wrote an article about Willnah for the Londoner in 2009 about her acting; she was of the founding members. I’m glad I got to know her; may she now be at peace.
My deepest condolences to the family. I was deeply saddened to learn of Willnah’s passing. My late hubby and I had many wonderful visits in her home. She entertained us with many a great “tale”. A great actress and volunteer and friend. Willnah will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
I enjoyed many conversations with Willnah during coffee hour at Wesley-Knox but watching her act was a real pleasure as she enjoyed it so much. She was a lovely woman and will be missed by many. My sincere condolences to her family.
I am nappy to have known you,, always looked forward to seeing you in church and all the wonderful life stories you shared, I will miss you
