HUGHES, Allan…
Peacefully with family by his side at Glendale Crossing on Saturday, February 11, 2017, Allan Hughes passed away in his 101st year. Beloved husband of the late Joyce (Beach), Connie (MacKenzie), and Helen (Pickett) Hughes. Dear father of Roger Hughes (Faye). Step-father of Sylvia (Rudy) Gilgen and Lynn Edison. Also loved by his grandchildren Christopher (Karen), Rebecca, and Ryan (Nicole) Hughes, Kelly (Bryan) Otto and Jamie, Katie and Emily Gilgen. Also missed by many great-grandchildren. Mr. Hughes was a Past Master of Daylight Lodge No.735 A.F. & A.M. and also a member of Doric Lodge No. 289 A.F. & A.M. and Moffat Lodge No. 399 A..F. & A.M. He is also a member of London Lodge of Perfection, Rose Croix Chapter and Mocha Shrine. Friends will be received by the family on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 11 am at Westmount Presbyterian Church, 521 Village Green Avenue, London. A Masonic Service under the auspices of Moffat Lodge No. 399 A.F. & A.M will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm. In lieu of flowers donations in Allan’s memory can be made to the Masonic London Benevolent Association, 123 Inverary Crescent, London ON N6G 3L7 .
