FARQUHAR, Mary…
Peacefully in her sleep at Sprucedale Care Centre, Strathroy, on Sunday, January 29, 2017, Mary (McLachlan) Farquhar in her 99th year. Beloved wife of Ken Farquhar. Loving mother of Barb Goebel (Bob) of Delaware. Dear step-mother of Karole Toombs (Stan) of London and Darlina Lockyer (Dean) of Little Current, Manitoulin Island. Cherished grandmother to her 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Mother-in-law of Don Thomson of Nova Scotia and Steve Ager and his wife Susan of Oakville. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her daughters Leslie Ager and Judy Thomson, her brothers Ted, Mitchell, Walter and Kenneth McLachlan and sisters Kay O’Keilly and Joyce Mollar. Mary had a pilot’s license and was president of Brantford Flying Club. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 2 pm, at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to London Regional Cancer Program, 800 Commissioners Road East, London, ON N6A 5W9.
