Obituary
NORMAN, Dorothy Jean…
Passed away peacefully on January 12th with her daughter at her side. Dorothy was in her 92nd year, and enjoyed a long and blessed life. Her kind and gentle personality made an impression on everyone she met. Beloved Mother and Grandmother of Shelley, Tracy, Beth and York. Loving wife of Herb, and dear friend to Ron and Jean Burns, Pat Tonge and Nancy Engelhardt. Dorothy will be missed deeply, but we all take comfort in the believe that she is now happily back beside her beloved Herb, eating all the ice cream she could ever wish for! Sincere thanks are extended to the incredible team at Extendicare for the compassion and support provided. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society – London/Middlesex Chapter, 21 Grosvenor Street, London ON N6A 4V2, would be greatly appreciated. Keeping with Dorothy’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to A. Millard George Funeral Home, 519-433-5184. Dear Tracy and Shelley we both have great memories of your Mom. She was a lovely Lady. Linda & Eric
There are so many wonderful things to remember and celebrate about Aunt Dolly. We will never forget her joyful spirit, great cooking, her love of flowers and pink in all her clothes. She was so kind, and we will miss her smile and laughter.
I miss you gramma. I miss going for walks, gardening, making sure we took photos of York covered in mud (I might have been too, but I lost that photo). Making sure that baked goods were plentiful for my friends…i tried to eat your fudge and could feel my teeth retracting into my mandible and maxilla. Everyone loved your cooking and all the cozy sweaters and scarves you would make. I have kept all your things. Thank you gramma , I love you!
