WANAMAKER, Linda Louise… Peacefully at Victoria Hospital, London, on Monday, November 14, 2016, passed away in her 67th year. Beloved daughter of Katherine Wanamaker, and the late Richard Wanamaker (2004). Dear sister of Stephen and his wife Karen Wanamaker. Beloved aunt of Damon and his wife Vincie, and great aunt to infant Nate. Remembered fondly by cousins Charles, Carol Ann, Judy, & Richard. Also missed by her very special close friends Sandie & Jeannie “Mom”, and the many acquaintances she has made over the years at Canada Post, at Hickory Ridge Golf & C. She was a staunch supporter of the Blue Jays & Knights, and attended many games each season. A special thanks goes to the nurses and doctors at both University and Victoria Hospital who provided such devoted care & compassion. In keeping with Linda’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment following cremation in the family plot in Hampton Rural Cemetary, Hampton, N.B. Upon hearing the sad news, I can not believe, I won’t be hearing from my good friend any more. She was truly a wonderful, kind and caring woman. Linda and I worked together for many years at Canada Post. I give my heart felt sympathy to the family. She will be greatly missed.
We were deeply saddened to hear of Linda’s passing. She was a caring devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew her. We had the priviledge of sharing many memories with her at the Keir celebrationsand gatherings. Our thoughts are with Kay, Steve, Karen, Damon, Vincie and wee Nate as well as with the Keir Tribe.
We are truly saddened that Linda will no longer be part of our extended family. She was a wonderful, genuine human being, who always radiated care and positivity. We are grateful to have known her. She will be missed. Our deepest condolences to Kay, Steve, Karen, Damon, Vincie and Nate
Our deepest sympathies on the loss of Linda. We have many fond memories of teaching with Linda. You will miss her greatly.
It is with the deepest sympathy that we extend our heart felt condolences. Linda is now relieved of the burden of her illness and we pray that the family may find solace in that peace. I had the honor of knowing Linda for many years through her time at Hickory Ridge. Linda was always so very kind to me and offered personal support and encouragement to my work and my life away from work. I knew Linda as someone who always valued the needs of others before her own. Linda was an avid supporter of Hickory Ridge, the Chicks Morning League and most notably, the Pumpkin Open. Linda was always part of a team which embraced this event with superb team costumes and unrelenting play in what were some horrific weather conditions. Linda always had a smile and was a great contributor to happy times at Hickory Ridge. I will deeply miss her presence at the club. May peace be with you Linda.
So ver, very sorry to hear about Linda, she was a good person and I enjoyed playing golf with her on our road trips. Sorry will not be able to attend her Celebration of Life as we will be in Cuba. Thinking of you both.
