We were so fortunate to meet Bernie at RCR in Florida after Ted and John reconnected. They had bowled together in the Men’s Teachers’ League as members of the London Bd. of Ed. Bernie was so interesting, fun and a good euchre player. We often enjoyed her company at the clubhouse. Ted and I are very sorry to learn that she has passed away and send our condolences to John, their daughters and their grandchildren. Bernie enjoyed life and she will be truly missed in London and Nokomis.
Bernie always had a smile on her face. We are going to miss seeing her around three p.m. At the pool in RCR where she would swim her laps daily. Our condolences to John and all of the family.
Our sincere sympathy to John, Bernie and John’s daughters on the passing of a wonderful person! Bernie was a kind and caring person and we know she will be missed by many, many people.
Dear John, Kim, Karen and family, Jeff and I are very sorry for your deep loss. We met Bernie two seasons ago at RCR. Of course, it was on the tennis courts. Bernie was such a joy and always had a smile on her face. We consider ourselves blessed to have met her and shared some time with her during the tennis functions. She will be missed at RCR and the remainder of the world will be one wonderful lady short. Prayers and peace to all of you.
We are so sorry to hear of the passing of dear Bernie….how we enjoyed her enthusiasm for tennis and life. We miss her here at RCR. A special hug for you, Abbey…you and grandma were a good pair. Love and sympathy from Jane Haley and John Gates (RCR)
