I may have only met you once, but I shall be forever thankful, that your wonderful son met my daughter, Allison and now I have a beautiful granddaughter. Even though Clara is only two, whenever I asked her if she saw ‘Grandma Sue’ her face would light up with a great big smile.. May you rest in peace.
I knew Sue as a research colleague through several studies. She was wonderful to work with, so creative and so concerned with helping others. The world has lost a good soul. She will be missed.
Christa, Deryk and Kathy, I was so sorry to hear of your Moms passing. I will always have fond memories of her. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. Sue, may you rest in sweet peace.
To an incredible old friend
I first met Sue about 20 years ago, when we became friends. I have not seen her for several years; we took different paths in life about 12 years ago. She was and still is an unsung hero to countless individuals. She was the leader and the creator of Can-Voice. A community based support group for mental health survivors. She was an advocate for mental health survivors and still is through her memories and work. I remember the countless hours, long hours into the night that she took to create fund raising proposals as the executive director of Can-Voice, to grow Can-Voice and keep it running. She was the quiet one behind the scenes. It is the one behind the scenes that deserves to be the hero in our lives. She did not advertise her long hours, sleepless nights but I knew. I admired all the hard work she did and it will never be forgotten. I also remember her retreats, her comfort places-her home in old south and the cottage. She loved to plant hundreds of beautiful flowers at her home in old south to enjoy beauty. I choose to remember the amazing memories of Sue and the impact she left behind her! Thank you Sue and rest in peace old friend.
Connie
