Obituary
TEMPLE, Anne…It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Anne Clara Temple (nee Clifford) on Wednesday, November 2, 2016. Born in Lakeside, Ontario, June 9, 1914. Loving mother of Keith Temple (Terry), Bradley Temple (Judy), and daughter-in-law Marilyn Temple of Waterloo. Adored grandmother of Jeff Temple (Michelle), Erin Pieterman (Chad), Justin Temple (Carolyn), Tim Temple (Ashley Sherry), Matthew Temple (Emily), Melanie Temple, Emily Temple and Laura Temple. Loving great- grandmother of Aidan, Ben, Brynn, Ella, Ethan, Noah and Max. Predeceased by her husband of 54 years, George Wendell Temple, her youngest son Paul Temple, her brother Clare Clifford and her sister Gertrude Ritchie. Anne’s loving smile brought joy to all around her. Anne was happiest when surrounded by “my three sons” and their families. Anne loved to laugh, especially at herself. When told one day that she was “amazing”, Anne replied, “well….maybe amusing!” Serene in difficult times, Anne embraced her faith and set aside her cares by saying “well…I don’t really have much to complain about!” Our gentle spirit Anne has joined her beloved husband Wendell and dear son Paul in God’s house. The family wishes to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Staff of McCormick Home who provided 24 years of wonderful care for Anne. Special thank you to Barb, Kerri, Sabrina, Jenn, Jayne, Valerie, and Dr. Locke. Friends will be received by the family from 9:30 – 10:30 am at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London, where the funeral service will be conducted in the chapel at 10:30 am with Reverend David Exley officiating. Interment in Woodland Cemetery, London, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the McCormick Home Foundation, 2022 Kains Road London, Ontario N6K 0A8 would be appreciated. Dear Brad and Judy, Mat, Emily and Melanie
Our thoughts are with you all this day as you celebrate a life well lived, and yet still it is difficult to say goodbye. May your memories of your Mom and Grandmom bring comfort that will sustain you as you move forward.
I had such fun with Anne. We first met each other when I led a Bible study at McCormick home(the original building), so it was a while back. I kept in touch with her and we shared many visits in the new residence. I think of her often & will miss her smile & encouragement.
