PETTIGREW, Beryl…..
In her sleep at University Hospital, London, on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, Beryl (Ingleton) Pettigrew, in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Jack Pettigrew (2009). Loving mother of Brian Pettigrew and his wife Julianne of Guelph and Cheryl Leyes and her husband Ron of London. Predeceased by her son Gary Pettigrew (2002). Dear mother-in-law of Liz Pettigrew of London. Cherished Grandma of 7 grandchildren and Nana to 12 great-grandchildren. Survived by her brothers Laurie and Roy. Beryl arrived on the Letitia as a War Bride, at Pier 21, Halifax, on April 25, 1946. Canada was her home, but she had many lovely British traits, especially enjoying a good cup of tea. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received by the family from 2-4 pm on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. The inurnment will be held on Monday, January 11, 2016 at 10 am, at Woodland Cemetery, 493 Springbank Drive, London (please meet at the cemetery office). So sorry to hear of Beryl’s passing. She was such a sweet lady and we had lots of fun at both the senior clubs we went to. She will be greatly missed.
We very much enjoyed having Beryl and Jack as neighbours. Beryl was a cheery no-nonsense person, and it was a pleasure to hear her stories. We hope your many good memories of her will help you through this difficult time.
