Obituary
FLATT, Irene….
With great sadness Irene (Parsons) Flatt peacefully but unexpectedly, at University Hospital, London, Tuesday, November 24, 2015 in her 72nd year. Beloved wife of the late Glenn Flatt (2013) for 45 years. Loving and devoted mother of Lynnanne Flatt (Brian Chapman) and Gail Deacon (Jim). Proud and much loved grandmother of Brooke Jamieson and a special grandma to James and Peitanne. Dear sister of Ken Parsons (Rhoda), Clifford Parsons, Ann Knott , Melvin Parsons (Margaret), Lillian Batstone (Robert), Bob Parsons (Mary), Bill Parsons (Priscilla), Irving Parsons (Lili), Carson Parsons (Bernette) and Fred Parsons (Lorraine). Also survived by her brother-in-law Fred Dennis. Predeceased by her parents Stewart and Winnifred “Winnie” Parsons, her brother Gordon Parsons, her sisters Betty Jackson and Anita Dennis and her brothers-in-law ClarenceJackson and Clary Knott. There will be cherished memories by many nieces, nephews and friends. The family wish to acknowledge the Chapman, Wutzke and Deacon families. Irene and her granddaughter Brooke loved to spend time together; Brooke much like her grandmother, whom possesses so many characteristics of leadership, love and caring for friends and family alike. Irene showed this through her many accomplishments over the years; she was a Life Member of the Kinette Club of London and President of the Board of Directors for Pine Lake Family Campground in Bayfield for 8 years. She was a recognized leader within the management team at Meadow Park for over 25 years. The daughters would like to thank to all those friends, family and the staff on the 4th floor at University Hospital that kept constant vigil and for their compassion and care for their mother during their time of need. Friends will be received by the family from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London, where the funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Monday, November 30, 2015 at 1pm. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to Kinette Club of London

Lynne and Gail I am so very sorry for your loss. Your Mom was such a great lady.
Lynn and Brian,
I am sincerely sorry for your loss and your family is in our prayers.
It is with sincere sadness that Bill and I send our thoughts and prayers to you both, Lynnanne and Gail and to your families. Irene was a delight in life. Her energy and enthusiasm for helping others was her hallmark. She engaged others with that great smile and her sense of humour and she truly brightened the lives of those she worked to serve and support. It was an honour to have walked many miles with her in Kinettes and to know first hand how deeply she cared about family, friends and community. Her desire to continue to grow, learn and contribute clearly never waivered. I will hold her with fond memories and gratitude that our paths were shared in this lifetime. Bless you all and may you find comfort and healing in the months ahead. I know your mom was a strong force in your lives as was your dad. They are together, dancing in heaven now. Please know how sorry we truly are.
Lynnanne , Gail and Families:
We are so sorry to hear of the passing of your Mom. She was such a wonderful lady always a warm smile and kind and loving heart. We will hold her close in our hearts always. We are sure she is dancing with your dad rejoicing in their reunion. Take care of yourselves and each other. Sending you all big hugs!! xoxoo <3
My sincerest sympathy Lynn and Gail. Your mother and father were role models for Kinettes and Kinsmen for many years. There have been countless thankful beneficiaries as a result.
So sorry to hear of Irene’s passing. Our prayers and thoughts are with family and friends.
I will always remember Irene for her Love of people! I worked with her at Meadowpark nursing home. Her special commitment at this time of year was the Christmas Tea! Everything had to be Perfect in which it always was! May you rest in Peace! Karen Laker
