FLANNIGAN, Raymond……..
Passed away at home on October 24, 2015, at the age of 66 years, following a lengthy illness. In the UK he is survived by his loving daughter Lisa, son-in-law Ian Douglas and two beautiful granddaughters, Bethany and Annabel. Predeceased by his parents Rosemary and John Flannigan. Forever remembered and missed by his close friend Ruth Couture and his many other friends both here and in the UK. He immigrated to Canada where he worked as a mason and also played football for London City F.C. and various other teams. His passions were football, horse racing and loud music. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2015 from 2-4pm at the London Portuguese Club, 134 Falcon Street. In lieu of flowers, consider donations to the Ontario Lung Association or London Humane Society.

So very sorry to hear of Raymond’s passing. Bob & I enjoyed so many good times with Ruth & Raymond in past years. Good memories!!
Ray, where to start I remember the first day we met I was 13, and the memories I have on King Street of you and always being there. You where my big brother and the one guy I could always turn to for that honest answer. Years later all grown up and your still Ray, and loud music and Japan, you always brought out the best in everyone. There were so many firsts with you, you gave me the opportunity of having that man I could look up too as a brother and for that I will be forever thankful. RIP now Ray your in very good company. Love ya xoxo
Where do I start Ruth? There are so many memories of happy times we all shared and so many delicious dinners at Ruth & Rays’ house. Ray will be very missed but always in our hearts. Love; Rose
I was only 16 when I first saw you and fell head over heals in love with you. I have good memories of so many happy times, especially in the Bowler’s Arms and the Starlight club in Margate and on the many occassions that I watched you playing football, you really were magic on the pitch. After we married and moved to Reading we still had some amazing experiences together, I will never forget those crazy parties we went to. I will always be grateful for the good times and our beautiful daughter Lisa. I remember that whilst I was in labour you were already out celebrating and you arrived just in time to see Lisa being born, the first time you held her you called her “our little miracle”! I was a bit surprised when you then told me that you had to go because all your mates were outside the maternity home waiting for you to carry on celebrating! I still look back with fondness and refer to that and many other similar times as a typical Ray moment! Thank you for our wonderful daughter, all the happy times and for introducing me to some really brilliant music. Goodbye to a truly free spirit who lived his life his way and I am very grateful that you chose to share some of your life with me. I will always remember you with love, Angela xxx
RIP my friend and roommate, will always remember your love of Laugh, Liquor and Loud music
