Obituary
LEE, Helga…..
Helga passed away on Friday, September 4, 2015, in her 85th year, after a brief illness, at London Health Sciences Centre. She will be sadly missed by her partner of 37 years, Jack Harcourt and her much loved daughters Diana Yandt, and Terry Murdoch (Grant). Helga was predeceased by her parents, Stefan and Anna Paal, and son-in-law Barry Yandt. The family would like to thank her sisterhood of friends; Sylvia, Margaret, Cathy and Judy for their support and friendship with mom over many years. We know that they will miss her dearly; as will we. Helga was active in her retirement, and will be missed by her friends at Tai Chi, the ladies group from the Bob Hayward YMCA , as well as her wonderful neighbours and friends. Helga will be remembered by many from her 31 years of service at the Province of Ontario Savings Office, which she retired from in 1992.
The family would like to thank the doctors and medical staff from the Victoria Hospital Critical Care Trauma Unit, and the 6th floor Geriatric ACE unit, for the care and kindness shown to our mother during her brief stay with them. Visitation will be held at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street, South, London, on Friday, September 11, 2015 from 10am – 11am, where a Memorial Service will take place at 11am. My favourite memory of Helga was a few years ago that she and I took our recycle boxes and picked elderberries from bushes in the complex. She then scoured the internet for pie recipes and we indulged for weeks. She will really be missed in the neighbourhood. We promise that we will keep an eye on Jack. Please take care Jack, Terri, Diana and Grant, and Miss Lacey you surely made her smile.
At a loss of words on how to express the feeling of loss for this dear , sincere, caring, loving friend Helga. I often when not verbally talking with her talked to her in my thoughts. Know the heart ache you are feeling, Jack, Diana and Terry and Grant. You will have many fond memories to treasure of your very much loving you partner and mother. Sincere, condolences, Judy and Herb Murphy

There is a sadness now that is deeply felt. Helga, my cousin, was a fine lady, had a wonderful sense of humor and I miss her. I will miss the Skype sessions we’ve had over the years. We did laugh a lot and I’m glad I have these happy memories to fall back on. To you, Jack, Diana, Terry and Grant, I send my deepest sympathies.
Diana
Our heartfelt condolences to you and your family.
Sincerely,
Sylvia Lirette and Wayne Cassidy
