BANHOLZER, Gerhard Heinrich…
At his home, Tuesday, June 16, 2015, in his 87th year. Gerhard was born in Schmiedefeld, Thuringen, Germany. Beloved husband of Elisabeth. Father of the late Alfred. Grandfather to Cleo. Father-in-law to Elke. Brother to the late Martin of California and survived by his brother Rudolf of Germany. Loved by his nieces and nephews. Gerhard was retired from a supervisor position with Pittsburg Glass and Paint Company in London. Gerhard left a legacy of loving people especially his colleagues from work; all his friends in London and his school chaps in Germany. He will be sadly missed by them all. The funeral services will be held at the Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1 Frank Place, London on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at 11:00am. Cremation will follow and the Final Resting place at Oakland Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to A. Millard George Funeral Home, London (519) 433-5184. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Gerhard’s name to the German Language School (Wheable Centre for Adult Education), 70 Jacqueline Street, London, Ontario, N5Z 3P7 or Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 1 Frank Place, London ON, N6C 1W1. My sincere condolences to Elizabeth, Elke and Cleo. Gerry was a wonderful neighbor who was always helpful. I cherish having known him and appreciated his very good humor. He is a man who has definitely touched many hearts in his lifetime.
