Our sincere condolences Dave on the sudden death of your mother. Please express our sincere sympathy to your Father and your brothers on our behalf and may her soul and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.
Aunt Phyllis was a rock…and she rocked!….in my growing up days.
I always felt the love, and always tried my best to absorb the wonderful values by which she lived.
I feel a deep sense of sadness now, but at the same time a great sense of gladness that she was in my life and gave so much to it.
I truly mean it when I say I will NEVER forget her strength and her kindness.
Uncle Doug, Terry, and Keith, you will be ever supported by the great memories I know you have.
Sincere condolences,
Bob
I just want to say how sorry I am on your loss of a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a sweet lady and loved by many. Rest in peace and you will be remembered fondly. Karen and Jordan Ferguson
Our sincere condolences Doug on the passing of Phyllis. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your sons at this time.
Dear all,
Keeping Uncle Doug and each of you and yours, in our thoughts as we all say farewell to a grand lady. We will spend the time today with Mom, who is shaken to the core at the loss of her big sister. As a sister, Aunt Phyllis was lovingly steadfast and caring and was a huge support for our Mom (and to all of us) for her whole life. Aunt Phyllis has always kept us tucked under her wing and has freely offered her love and support throughout our lives.
Each of the Emberley family had the most expressive eyes. A twinkle of fun, mischief and love that is so easy to recall and to treasure as we remember Mom’s sister and our Aunt Phyllis.
With sympathy,
Alistair, Lorne, Alison and Julie (Emberley) Sutherland
Uncle Doug and Family,
Our heartfelt condolences to each and every one of you. Aunt Phyllis always kept us in her thoughts throughout the years and often sent thoughtful care packages to us (which my girls loved opening)! I will always cherish the quilt that she and Aunt Thelma made me many years ago (if I can steal it back from my daughter, Sydney : ) I will miss her dearly…..
Alison

I just received word of Phyl’s death today.
Phyl and I were very good friends when we lived across the street from them in Ottawa. Doug was the Padre on the base and my Husband worked on the base.
I am keeping Father Doug and Keith in my prayers. Also her Emberley Family.
I often think of all the great visits, laughs and places we went when Phyl and I were together years ago. A great pal and sense of humor.
