I am so sorry for your loss. I remember sitting behind you in church when your brother was visiting and I could see how proud he was of his family. He and Dave were a lot alike…both quiet but when they said something it was important. Praying for you all.
Dave and family, please accept my heartfelt condolences. Words cannot begin to express the sadness you are feeling right now. God bless you, and may the soul of your father rest in the everlasting peace of Christ Almighty.
Dear Family,
My heartfelt condolences to you all. Your mom and dad were very special people.
I knew them in North Bay, where Marion, Julie, Sally and I spent many hours “playing Bridge”…actually we really spent that time sharing; we talked… a lot… laughed together and sometimes cried together. It became what we called our “mental health night”, a special friendship. Our husbands never understood why we hadn’t played more rubbers but it was never about the cards. We learned about each other’s families and learned much about you from your mom; she was very proud of all of you.
Your mom and dad were devoted to one another and I’d like to think that they are now together again, watching over you.

Best wishes and prayers to the whole extended Spencer family. I have only the fondest memories of gatherings with your family and friends over the years and was grateful to have been able to see your Dad again fairly recently after many years. He appeared just the same as I remembered him – kind, gentle and with such a great sense of humour!
He and your Mom will be missed by all of us who had the privilege of knowing them.
Lots of Love
Becky and the whole McClure family.
Please accept our heartfelt condolences. May the wonderful memories help you and your family through this difficult time.
I am so sorry to see of the passing of Don. I grew up in Manor Road United Church and the Spencers and Clodes were tireless workers there at that time. I was in CGIT with Ruth Clode and Beth Spencer was one of my Sunday School teachers. I will always remember Beth as she gave me the book “Little Women” as I had perfect attendance one year. Fond memories from an 80 year old! My sincere condolences on your loss. Thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
Sincerely, Rosamond Reid
David, Doug, Craig and Families,
We are so sorry for your loss. Both your Dad and Mom were kind people who cared a lot for their community and were “pillars” of Metropolitan United Church in particular for so many years. (and they raised such fine children!)
