So sorry for your loss. I met Brenda through the Salvation Army Christmas Hamper Program where she was my “go to” person for the children’s books. I know she was looking forward to joining us again this year. Brenda will definitely be missed.
So sad and shocked to hear of Brenda’s passing. I enjoyed our conversations at the pool and at coffee. She was so pleasant and cheerful all the time. She will be missed. She was always willing to go to the Theatre and she really enjoyed a good performance. A Great Lady! Our prayers and thoughts are with the family.
My deepest Condolences to Brenda’s family.
I knew Brenda from the Movati Athletic club where we swam together, had coffee afterwards, and sometimes luncheons. She will always be remembered by her warm smile and her supportive conversations. Brenda was quite the Lady and her appearance and attention to details in her clothing was outstanding. Not a day went by that I didn’t compliment her on how lovely she always looked. I’m so saddened by this news of her unexpected passing. I will always remember Brenda with a huge smile on my face, she will be missed.

Sorry to hear about Brenda’s passing. Our sympathy to all of you at this difficult time.
We can shed tears that this wonderful woman has gone, or we can smile because she lived. We can close our eyes and pray for her to come back, or we can open our eyes and see the love that she has left behind. Our hearts can be empty because we cannot see her, or we can show to others the love she gave. We can turn our back on tomorrow and live for yesterday, or we can be happy for tomorrow because of all the yesterdays. You can embrace memories of her departing, or you can do what she would want: wipe your eyes, love each other, and go have fun. You’ve shown us how to be a mother, wife, sister, amazing cottage host and a friend. You’ve shared countless memories at the cottage, and allowed us to be part of your life. For those lucky enough to know you, your smile and warm grace will always be remembered. You are a shinning star among our circle of friends, and now you can watch over us and keep us safe. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family always. You will be missed, and never will never be forgotten, in our hearts eternally. We love you!

To my dear very special niece who I will miss so very very much. All the good times we have shared, all the good memories I have of Brenda for the past 66 years, Brenda was always so much fun, always ready for a good party & family get together, I am happy she had a good life doing the things that made her happy, and 44 good years with Gar. We will all miss Brenda, God bless you Gar, Ash & Brett, Love to you all Aunt / Great Aunt Vera.
I don’t know if I have tears of joy or sadness in my eyes while I write this. Joy for all the fun years we had as cousins or sadness that I wont ever see you again except in my heart where you are now. Such memories to laugh about Bren:
camping everywhere with your family and ours – Terry trying to sleep between you and Gar
getting kicked out of Algonquin Park …. well you folks were kicked out we just went along for the ride,
waterskiing and boating
sitting by a fire burning marshmallows and even burning my mouth so badly one time I couldn’t go swimming for a few weeks
Listening to your dad yodel and entertain us,
Watching your mom watch the bear walking across the beach at our campsite
partying with the OPP when camping
But I have other amazing memories too
at the cottage with the second cousins swimming boating skiing knee boarding fishing and anything they could think up
even playing the hat hat dance ….. do you guys remember that Brett and Ashley? we have it on video and it still makes us laugh
I could go on for hours but Gar Brett and Ashley just know how wonderful your mom was and how much she loved all of you. She loved life and loved each and every day she was here.
I love you I miss you and you will always be with me
love ya
J
I am deeply shocked and saddened by Brenda’s sudden death. It was wonderful to see her again at Al Sargant’s Celebration of Life. We had made arrangements to meet up again. My heart goes out to all members of her family.
Brenda and I both grew up in Curries, and I remember playing together, being in school together, and having birthday parties together. Have not seen Brenda for years but do remember her being a great friend when we were growing up. My sympathy is extended to her family and friends.
Gar, I was so sorry to hear about Brenda’s death recently and wish to give you and your children my condolences. I have fond memories of Brenda with her being librarian at W. Sherwood Fox P.S. through the reconstruction and expansion years twenty years ago. Janice
