My thoughts and prayers are with you, Marion , and your family . I have many happy memories of time spent with Don in the St. Jame’s choir , visits to your home , and outings aboard the “Wavy Lady” . In more recent times Don helped keep the ancient gallery organ at Bishop Cronyn operational . “Rest eternal grant unto him , oh Lord , and may light perpetual shine upon him” .

My condolences on your loss of a father, father in law and grandfather – my thoughts are with you.
Sorry to hear about your loss Marion. Don was a great guy, hard worker.
He always asked me -if I had been to Owen Sound lately, encouraged me with my Pioneer involvement and was great support to me when I got involved with the Optimist organization, becoming Club President, LT Governor and Governor of SW Ontario. Paul Mylemans from our Club in Komoka mentioned his death at our Club meeting last evening and I know he was very involved in getting our Club started in 1972.

So sorry to hear about Don. He was a funny, happy go lucky, giving, caring and talented man. I worked with and for Don when I first started with Bell at the London Colborne St office in 1981/82. I still remember him in the garage working on organ pipes or tinkering with his trains in the basement. I always looked forward to seeing him and Marion at the impromptu Bell get togethers my Dad and Mom used to hold at their Thorndale country farm house. What I most remember of Don was his ‘get it done’ attitude he had … he never gave up, right to the end. He is missed by many. Regards, Eric Koegler
Dear Debbie,
I’m so sorry to hear of the death of your father. I know you will miss him a lot. My sympathy to you and your family.
Love,
Louise
My deepest sympathy Marion on the loss of Don. Please extend this sympathy to all your family. I will never forget our good times with both of you especially in Stratford-on-Avon in l984, when Don was one of Doug’s Governors. Also at many of the Conventions during his terms in office.
Think of the Optimist Creed as a way of looking forward. I wish you all the best. Love Mary.
