My sincere condolences in the passing of Arthur. I was a afternoon shift housekeeper at Henley Place. I operated the hallway floor machine. Arthur was a dear sweet man who was loved by everyone who met him.
My sincerest sympathy to the Dewar family.
Art was a great man. He will be fondly remembered as an awesome father-in-law and mentor to me, as well as the best gramps to his grandchildren, Jen & Mike. He loved life and always had everyone’s best interest at heart. I admired his desire to help others and his relentless work ethics – he was always busy working on a project for someone. He loved to travel, and I remember many vacations and outings as a family (esp trips to Florida, northern fishing and camping trips), Before my mother’s passing, she often talked about her days vacationing with Ella and Art. He was always playing tricks on me – I often tell the story about the day he nailed my sandals to the floor :).
He’ll be excited to finally have a date with his soulmate. He will be missed by all who knew him. May he Rest in Peace.
Uncle Art was my favourite Uncle. I spend a great deal of time as a child with he and Aunt Ella. I enjoyed the time spent having him over for meals with Mom when we would sit in awe and watch just how much he could eat. He loved raisin pies and butter tarts or Moms mincemeat tarts. I will miss him greatly but know that he is happy to be together again with Aunt Ella!
