Douglas was a generous man. Many saw him as brusque but I saw him as strongly opinionated. He had a good heart and will be missed by The Staff and his friends at a The Royalcliffe. I know you suffered quietly. Rest in peace you are in Gods hands now.

Harry AKA Doug
You my friend are an amazing, generous, kind hearted man, I could never thank you enough for what you did for me but especially my girls. You showed my daughters that there is still people on this earth that are not selfish and cold hearted. Thank you again. You will be missed but always remembered for your huge heart and generosity!! Rip my friend.

Dear Doug AKA Harry. It was such a pleasure being a good friend and old golfing buddy of yours for nearly 35 years.
We had some great golfing trips, and especially our week in Cuba with Rolly and Bill a few years ago.
I will miss you a lot Doug, and God willing we’ll see each other again on Heaven’s fairways. I love you my friend.
I will never forget you Doug.
Your dear friend Bruce, and his partner Ruth-Anne.

I was sorry to learn that Doug had passed away. I met him and his wife, Frances, when they moved into an apartment at the Royalcliffe just down the hall from my mother’s apartment. Both Frances and my mother passed away shortly after. Doug and I shared some conversations in the following months as we were both feeling our respective losses. My condolences to Doug’s sister-in-law, Mary, whom I also met at that time, and to the family. Both Frances and Doug…gone too soon. RIP.
