Dear Mrs. Sargant.
We are so sorry to read of your loss. We remember being in on the test stage for the fudge crackle ice cream when you were at Ealing. Also your husband bringing over the cases of Santa suits when we were renting them for the y-macettes.
My cousins have visited from England and we have taken them to have your ice cream. It was a matter of pride to say we knew the owners.
Nothing we can say will ease your pain at the moment, but please know you are in our thoughts.
With deepest condolences,

I was very sorry, Connie, to read of Al’s passing in the London Free Press. I remember Al most fondly and recall my father, Bert, telling me what a brilliant researcher Al was when they worked together at Silverwood’s Dairy. Please know that you, and Al, are in my thoughts at this sad time.

Dearest Connie,
My sincerest condolence on the passing of Alan. I have many cherished memories of you all. If I may please briefly quote:
“That though the radiance which was once so bright be now forever taken from my sight. Though nothing can bring back the hour of splendor in the grass, glory in the flower. We will grieve not, rather find strength in what remains behind” William Wordsworth

Dear Connie: How sad Harriet and I were to read of Alan’s passing a few days ago. We fondly remember so many years we spent together on political trails dating back 40 or more years. Alan was always there, carrying his share of the load – actually more often doing double duty. He was every candidate’s dream of a perfect supporter. The political times carried over to social occasions that we were able to cherish with you both. Since our move to Toronto in 1991 had severed our direct connections we nevertheless kept abreast of the goings on and were pleased to learn of the success at LICC. What a clever use of his talents. Connie please accept our sincere condolences on the occasion of this loss. We know he left great memories with all he encountered. Best regards.
Harriet and Gordon Walker.

We were very saddened to hear about Al’s recent death. Even though we hadn’t seen him in a while, we still have many fond memories of him, especially at those New Year’s Eve parties at Jean and Will’s. Al always played his role with flair! He was very interested in people and events and we had many great conversations with him. He also introduced us to our favourite ice cream: Moose Tracks!
With fond memories of Al and our sincere condolences to you, Connie.

On behalf of the Margaret M. Gardner Family I wish to extend our condolences to Connie and all Family and Friends of Alan Sargant. Alan worked with my father Donald S. Gardner and maintained an extraordinary friendship with my father and our family for over 50 years.
For many Christmas seasons Connie and Alan Sargant would always find time to visit and ‘break bread’ with the Donald Gardner Clan. It would be impossible to fully appreciate the time and talents that Alan and Connie shared with our family but suffice to say that it was always a highlight of the season to share fine food, sports, music and topics du jour. Alan will be most fondly remembered for his tremendous energy and quest for knowledge and truth.
Love always,
Stephen Gardner &

A person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts and minds, through us, they live on. I’ve been thinking of you both with smiles and tears recently. Alan hired me as a co-op student at Resultant Research and I appreciated the experience and wisdom that he shared with me there. I recall moving his prized Lincoln on occasion – what a boat it was! When Alan opened London Ice Cream Co., I knew that his lifelong love of dairy would shine through and it did. What wonderful ice cream! I recall vividly my time spent there and the positive impact he has had on those around him. My deepest condolences to his family and may he rest in peace.

Hello Connie: Michael recalls teaching with you, @ the start of his career. We later got to know Al through Jordan’s summer employment @ London Ice Cream during high school. Thanks to Al, Jordan’s confidence increased greatly as he was encouraged to help in other areas such as landscaping, moving the company van (before his licence) & helping with deliveries; as well as his main responsibility of making ice cream. Happy now that we were able to mention our appreciation to Al. May he RIP.

This is a very late condolence – I just today read about Alan’s passing, when Arthur and I were talking about the delicious London Ice Cream Company icecream we had enjoyed at the outdoor cafe in Springbank.
What a shame. Please accept, be it so long after, my sincere condolences.
