Obituary
Kane, Cheryl Donna (née Bracci)….
Shortly after the sun set on November 20, 2014 with her family by her side, Cheryl’s journey peacefully ended at the London Health Sciences Centre – Victoria at the age of 63. Her life had an impact on so many and her legacy will continue to live on in her children; Karla Friesen (Jude) and Kyle Kane (Cara) and her granddaughter Jada Friesen, who she adored and brought her so much joy. She is now re-united with her true love, her husband Drew (2001), and her beloved parents; Sylvia (2006) and Naldo (2008) Bracci. She was deeply loved and will be missed by her sisters Paula Lamothe (Ron), Patti Livingstone (Malcolm), sister in-law Jackie MacKenzie (James), brother in-law Joe Kane along with her nieces and nephews: Renée Hawkins (Evan), Rob Lamothe (Lindsay), Paul Lamothe (Amber), Kelly Castellani (Carlo), Curtis Livingstone (Kristin), Ellen MacKenzie, Seamus MacKenzie, Shawn Kane and Michael Kane. Her love and friendship will be missed by many including longtime friends, co-workers from Rexall, Shoppers and her neighbours. Cheryl was a kind, generous person who always gave of herself and placed others first. She faced her diagnosis with dignity and tremendous courage, however, in the end, though much too soon, her passing was quiet and peaceful. Please join us in a celebration for this incredible woman. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 24, 2014 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm with prayers at 7:30pm at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Steet South, London. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at 11:00am at St. George Catholic Church, 1164 Commissioners Road West, London. Interment to follow at a later date in White River, Ontario. Your kind words are enough, but if inclined, please make a donation to the London Regional Cancer Program c/o London Health Sciences Foundation 747 Baseline Road East London, ON N6C 2R6 in lieu of flowers. We are appreciative and thankful for the thoughtful and caring support extended by the many doctors and nurses at the LRCP and on the 7th floor of the LHSC for their compassionate care during this difficult time. We are truly grateful for all that she was, but for now we feel sorrow for the loss of all that may have been and the milestones that will pass without her. Cheryl was an amazing vibrant beautiful woman, although we hadn’t seen her in a few years, she was loved & respected by all of our families. She always kept in touch with our mom, Ede , which always meant the world to her! A very giving woman that will leave a void in all those lives she touched. Hopefully the fabulous memories will help with that void & give you some peace. You are all in our thoughts!
Dear Paula and family, so sad to hear of Cheryl’s passing. The times I spent with her are unforgettable, she was such a delight. She will be forever missed. My deepest sympathy.
Growing up so close with Renée, the Lamothes have been like an extended family to me and Aunt Cheryl was always a part of this amazing family. I have many great memories of spending time with her over the years when she visited Stittsville, as well as going with Renée to visit her and her family in London. I knew Aunt Cheryl as fun, vibrant, and full of life. She was a warm and welcoming person. She projected a fun spirit and positive energy. She always had everyone laughing, singing or up dancing, no matter the occasion. This loss saddens me deeply and I want to send my love and thoughts to her family and friends. She will be missed by many people who’s lives she touched.
