Obituary
Peacefully after a struggle, surrounded by his family at Elmwood Place, Evaristo Tavares Coutinho in his 92nd year. Loving husband of Marian Olsen Coutinho. Beloved father of Grace, Ana, Tereza and Paula Coutinho. Proud grandfather of Mavis and Leo Everett Coutinho. He will be missed by his nieces, nephews and their families, both in Canada and Portugal. Predeceased by his son Tony Coutinho and his brothers, Joao and Manuel Coutinho. Evaristo was a man who loved to laugh, was generous in his hospitality, greatly enjoyed playing his mandolin and instilled a love of music in his family. He was always active, cycling well into his 80’s. Arriving in Canada in 1955, Evaristo settled in London in 1960. He was proud of his Portuguese heritage and his Canadian citizenship. Visitation will be held at A. Millard George Funeral Home 60 Ridout Street South on Thursday August 21st, 2014 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. The funeral service and reception will be held at A. Millard George Funeral Home on Friday August 22, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Peter Leonard officiating. Cremation and interment will take place at a later date.
