Our heartful condolences to Sharon and Jean in the passing of your dear Aunt Pearla. We knew you were very fond of her and supported her during her illness, which we are sure she was extremely grateful.
Sharon and Jean: My condolences on the passing of your Aunt. She was quite a lady and I am sorry for your loss.
On the opportunities I had to visit with your aunt, I often noticed how she deeply appreciated you and her friendship with you.
Our condolences to her family and friends.
Pearla and I shared a great passion for family history and shared information on our common HUNTER ancestors from Lincolnshire, England.
I will miss her.
Ron
I remember Pearla as an expert in the Switch provisioning group in Toronto when i started with Bell in 1969. She was always willing to help the “NEW GUY” She will be fondly remembered by many Bell Canada folks .
I so much enjoyed my communications with Pearla as we tried to solve the mystery of the Irish Todd ancestors. She invited me to accompany her on her Irish trip and I have always regretted that I declined to go. She sent me her best assumptons as to the Todd ancestry but was never able to prove it and now that DNA can be used to narrow thngs down we know I had sent her on a wild goose chase (wrong initial info) I hope Pearla wasn’t too upset with me. She never got back to me when I told her.
My sympathies to Perla’s loved ones. I had the pleasure of sitting next to Pearla fresh out of school on my first job at Bell in May 1963 in the T.O. shop, 3rd floor 393 University Ave. Toronto. Pearle was the expert and I was so fortunate to have her as my trainer. Her willingness to selflessly share her vast knowledge is something I always remember as do I remember her calm yet determined demeanor. She truly was a special lady that left an indelible impression on me. May peace be with you Pearla. You are, for sure, in a very good place.
We are so sorry to hear of our cousin Pearla’s passing. She was a such a wonderful and dedicated woman who will be missed by many.n
