DUPLAN, Ted…..
Ted Duplan passed away peacefully on Monday, May 12, 2014 at University Hospital, London, one day short of his 92nd Birthday. Beloved husband of Janet (Down) Duplan for 62 years. Loving father of Susan Duplan (Michael Rescorl) of Pender Island, BC, John Duplan (Ellie Kop) of Mount Brydges and Gord Duplan (Debbie) of London. Dear grandpa of Garrett McLeod, Greg Duplan (Nickki), Karlyn Beaver (Dale), Matthew, Lauren and Sarah Duplan and great-grandpa of Cameron, Amelia and Wynona. Predeceased by his parents Harold and Edith. Ted served in the Canadian Navy during World War II as a Wireless Telegrapher. He was a member of St. Paul’s Cathedral in London for 70 years, and sang in the Boys Choir in the early 30’s. He enjoyed many years in the summer and winter with his family at their cottage on Lake Huron. He was a long supporter of the Blue Jays Baseball Team going back when they started playing in Exhibition Stadium in Toronto. Ted was a longtime member of the Highland Golf Club where he enjoyed playing golf and curling. He loved dogs, raised and owned many during his lifetime. Friends will be received by the family from 7-9 pm on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London, where the funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 11 am. Private family Interment in Woodland Cemetery, London. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Ted are asked to give to the Cardiac Fitness Institute, 800 Commissioners Road East, London, ON, P.O.
