To the Izawa Family: I am sorry to hear of your loss. I often think back to the times our families spent on Sudbury Avenue – they were good times when neighbours were always there for each other – in good times and bad times. I also recall it was John that taught me to ride a bike all those years ago – it was no small feat – two sets of training wheels I went through! My sincerest condolences to you all.

I’ll always remember John taking us boys to McDonald’s or KFC when we were in grade 5 or 6. I remember those as incredibly fun times as we started to mature into the people we’ve become. I also remember enjoying his devilish sense of humour. My sincere condolences and best wishes for you and your families.

Hello, Mrs. Izawa, Cathy and Jonathan. On behalf of my Mom and myself, old neighbours, we wish to express our deepest condolences on the loss of a gentle soul and a giving man. Personally, he saved me many years of bus tickets when he gave me a ride to CCH every morning through highschhol, on his way to work. And my Mom says she has many fond memories of running into the two of you at the slots! She misses seeing you! Our thoughts are with you!
