Peacefully surrounded by family at Extendicare, London, on Tuesday August 27, 2013 Betty (McCormick) Pierson of London. Beloved wife of William “Bill” Pierson. Dear mother of Barry Pierson and his wife Claire of Denfield. Proud grandmother of Susan, Will and Kathy and great-grandmother to Shyah. Predeceased by her brother Orville (the late Florence) McCormick and sister Lyla (the late Dick) Allen of Kincardine. Missed by many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their gratitude for the care and compassion provided by the staff on Floor 1 at Extendicare London. Betty was a member of Empress United Church for over forty years. Friends will be received by the family one hour prior (9:30 – 10:30 am) to the service which will be held in the chapel of the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at 10:30am. Interment in Kincardine Cemetery, Kincardine. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, London/Middlesex Chapter, 21 Grosvenor Street, London ON N6A 4V2 or Heart and Stroke Foundation, 180 – 633 Colborne Street, London ON N6B 2V3.
