MILLER, Mary……
Mary (nee Shiels) Miller, in her 89th year, passed peacefully, with her daughter Judy by her side, at Extendicare London on Saturday, July 27, 2013. Dear wife of Campbell “Cam” Miller for 61 years. Proud Mum of Kathryn “Kathy” (nee Miller) Yeoell (Mark) of Vashon, Washington and Judith “Judy” (nee Miller) Al Fuady (Salim) of London. Loved Nana of Sean Yeoell. Survived by cousins in Scotland and nieces and nephews in St. Thomas and Listowel. The family would like to thank the staff at Longworth Retirement Residence and Extendicare London 3rd floor staff for their care and compassion. A special thanks to all the friends and “family” for their loving support over the past years. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received by the family one hour prior (12-1pm) to the memorial service, being held at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London, on Friday, August 2, 2013 at 1pm. Private family interment in Cataraqui Cemetery, Kingston, Ontario. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Rotholme Women’s & Family Shelter – Mission Services of London, 415 Hamilton Road, London ON N5Z 1S1. Judy, Cathy, & Cam. I am so sorry to hear of Mary’s passing. I have so many memories of Mary and Cam along with my parents Aileen & Ron Sutherland at the married couples club at St. Andrew’s Memorial. I spent so much in the house on Averill Cres that I think I could walk through it blind folded. And working with Mary and Cam on the Board at the church was always an adventure. Judy & Cathy -Mary and Cam may be your mom & dad but believe me I feel like they were/are also mine. I hope you can take comfort in the memories you have of Mary.

I have missed bumping into Mary when I visited my sister at Longworth the past few weeks, but I knew she was being well cared for. I also miss all those times we spent together over many years at Board and Committee meetings as we worked together for Mission Services of London.I have also missed seeing you and Mary at the Encore Band concerts the past few months.

We are saddened by the news of Mary’s passing. She was always by Cam’s side, a strong supporter of his tireless efforts on behalf of Harmonize for Speech and, indeed for all that he did, while carrying on her own interests and activities. Mary was always so welcoming with her warm smile and easy manner. We are so sorry we are unable to be with you now but we will be in London later this month and will stop by for a visit.
