Obituary
HAHN: Jean Florence – of London passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 11th, 2013 at University Hospital in her 91st year. Beloved wife of Bill Hahn. Loving mother of Alan (Sandi), and Bob (Margo). Much loved grandmother of Emma, Matt, Amanda (Mike) and Sara and great-grandmother of Chloe and Connor in Winnipeg. Also loved by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Ann Stevenson and her chosen sister Phyllis Mowat. Jean and Bill celebrated 70 years of marriage last October and were inseparable in their lives together. Jean was born in Toronto to Scottish parents and was always proud of her heritage. Jean and Bill travelled to Dunfermline, Scotland to visit family and were thrilled to be able to visit homes that her grandfather had built years before. Mom worked at the de Havilland Aircraft in Toronto before settling down to raise her family. She was generous of heart and of her talents. She volunteered as a Pink Lady at the Queensway General Hospital Toronto for years before Bill and Jean retired to Guelph. Mom was proud of us all and we were proud to call her Mom and grandma. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received by the family one hour prior (10-11am), to the memorial service being held on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 11am, at Wesley-Knox United Church, 91 Askin Street, London. Dearest Uncle Billy & Family: Please accept our heartfelt condolences on the passing of Aunt Jean. I know that she was so very proud of her family and loved them very much. Any time we visited Aunt Jean was so quick to update us on the lives of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. My sister and I visited last Spring and were treated to a family video of Amanda and her family in Winnipeg. May each day be made brighter for all of you with the wonderful memories you hold. God bless you Aunt Jean. All our love xoxo
