Dear Linda and Family, please accept my sincere sympathy on the loss of your Father.
I would like to express my condolences to the family of George McNichol. Although it has been well over 40 years since I have had contact with Mr. McNichol (as he was known to me), I very much remember him as a very kind, fair principal and administrator at Arthur Ford Public school in the late 1960’s. Praying for comfort for his family.
Ginger alerted us to the death. We remember your father, Brain and Linda, as a quiet and strong man – very faithful to Calvary United.
Shalom.
We were very sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad. This will be a very difficult time but soon, as we have found, you will find yourself smiling when you remember something about your Dad and that will stay with you forever. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Rich and Janis
Linda: I was saddened to learn of your Dad’s passing. My thoughts are with you, and your family, at this difficult time. My deepest sympathies. Carol
While I only knew George McNichol for a few years, I found him to be a true gentleman that came from different stock, not commonly found today. Clearly he was a great father and husband. He was pleasure to spend time with as he had a great sense of humour. He will be missed by so many.
Brian, Bonnie, Valerie and Danielle – Dave and I are sorry that we are unable to pay our respects to you in person. Your father sounds like a remarkable man Brian, actively involved in his family, church and community. Our thoughts are with all of you at this time. Odile & Dave
We were sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing and know it will be a difffcult time for your family. He certainly lived a full life sharing his time for churh and community. our full condolences.
Also on behalf of the PROBUS Club of London, our heartfelt condolences. George was a long-time valued member.
I have not seen Mr. McNichol since 1963 when I was in the first graduating class of Arthur Ford. For me, he was that teacher who made a difference and I will always remember him. Not only did he explain many things in a way that they suddenly “just made sense” and so I improved as a student but I will never forget him coming into the classroom on the day that Preident Kennedy was assinated and tearfully telling our class (his homeroom) what had happened but more importantly what an impact this was going to have on the future. As a 13 year old, I was in awe of him. My condolences to you all. We have lost a great man.
Please accept our sincere condolences. I knew Mr McNichol as a teacher at Chesley Ave. Later he taught our two sons at Northridge and was well respected in the community for his fairness and kindness.
Thinking of you and your family as you continue your journey, with many amazing memories to cherish.
