I am so very sorry Joan to hear of your loss. I do hope that lovely memories continue to sustain you and remind you of wonderful times. My sympathies are also extended to your family for the loss of a father, father-in-law and grandfather.
Take good care of yourself and perhaps in the near future, we can get together.
Love,
Pat Hamilton
Joan and family, I was so saddened to hear of Rene’s passing. I have purchased several of Rene’s paintings over the years, and seeing Joan and Rene was always the highlight of my trips to the One of a Kind Craft show, and any other art shows he was at in and around the Markham area. Rene was such a kind man who loved to tease me and always brought a smile to my face. I will miss him dearly, but his memory will live on in the beautiful paintings of his homeland of Ghent and those wonderful nuns he portrayed so beautifully. The world will forever benefit from the talents and character of this great man! My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this difficult time. With love, Ruth Winterfield
