We were so sorry to hear about Jane. We did not know that she was so ill. We would sometimes see her when we were over at Eagle’s Nest but we knew for sure she would always be at the LMAA Annual meetings and the Information Nights. She was such an advocate for the lake!! She created some great bulletin boards for our meetings! Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this very sad time.

I remember Jane from our days at Sir Adam Beck Secondary School and although we lost touch for many years, I was blessed to have reconnected a few years ago. I am so saddened to hear of her passing and my condolences go out to her family.
Mrs. Trestain I spent many happy times with Jane in your home during my days living in Byron. We loved to go exploring throughout your property…never knowing what we would discover.
Images of us attempting to tame Jane’s pet raccoon remain vivid in my memory bank after these many years. We failed miserably at making the little guy into a house pet!
Typical of Jane’s kindness, she dropped by unexpectantly to see me at my parents’ home when I was in town. She came bearing a beautiful crystal vase as a wedding gift. Over these 48 years I contnue putting that vase to good use and each time I think of Jane, my childhood friend and her kindness. I’m grateful for having known her.
Kindest Regards
Gerry Adams née St.John
Jane and I molded a 3-D relief map of India/Pakistan (in asbestos, mounted on a piece of wood)in Grade 5 or 6 in Byron Public School. Jane took charge of our project and it was a success. We painted it and she covered it with the latest kitchen item: Saran wrap. She was so creative and capable. After we finished making the map, she showed me the area down by the water behind her home. What a great place to play! She lived next door to Paul Clarke, as I recall. I liked Jane very much! She was straightforward and had a vigorous smile!
I am sorry for your loss.
I am so very sorry for your loss. Jane was a dedicated daughter. We shared many fond memories during preparation of fashion shows for TVCC. She will be missed.

Please accept my deepest sympathy for I too know the pain of losing someone you love. May your family find comfort as I have in knowing that our loving heavenly Father promises us that very soon he will ‘wipe out every tear from our eyes, and death will be no more.’ (Revelation 21:4) What a wonderful day that will be!
Dear Marian and Family,

I am so sorry to hear of Jane’s passing. She was a long time customer of our store. She was always so cheerful and always had a funny story to tell. May all the good memories you have of Jane comfort you in the days ahead. She will be missed.
Our son, Scott, attended Jane’s kindergarten class at Westdale School during 1979-1980. We remember her as a kind and capable teacher and were saddened to read of her death.
It was with sadness that we read of Jane’s death this week. Memories flowed back of kindergarten at Riverside School for our sons John (’80-’81)and Brian (’83-’84)for whom Jane provided a loving and nurturing school experience, with warm hugs of encouragement. Whenever we crossed paths in more recent years, Jane was a delight to chat with. She will be remembered fondly by so many.
Tom
It’s with sadness that I read of Jane’s passing. It evokes a lot of early childhood memories of growing up in Byron. We lost track of the family after moving from the village. It has been just a few years since we returned to London. I would love to re connect and share what we all have been doing (519-474-9561) We are continually travelling to Toronto and Newmarket to visit our kids.
I would like to have attended the service but we are the proud grand parents of new twin boys so we are off to Newmarket to see them for the first time.
Again our prayers are with you, your family and your mom at this time.
I was so sad to read that Jane had passed away. I taught with her at Arthur Ford P.S. She was a dedicated, caring teacher. She was full of fun and I loved her laugh! I have many happy memories working with Jane. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
Tom –
Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the passing of Jane. She was such an amazing person and single-handedly kept the St. Anne’s bridge club going for my Mom, your Mom and so many other seniors with wonderfully themed afternoons, beautiful flowers and delicious food.
Please give a hug to your Mom for me when you see her next and let her know that we are all thinking of her.
With very best wishes,
Pegi Dover
