Dear Helen & Family – Margie and I were deeply saddened to hear of Don’s passing. For the past few years whenever I asked Don how he was he would always reply with a smile that he was fine except that he could not walk. The fact that Don had been a friend of my father Ron,my father-in-law Paul, as well as me was always special.I have missed Don not being around the club on a regular basis but I always knew that from time to time he would be by. I will miss that. Margie and I will be away this week in PEI therefore unable to be with you on Wednesday and for that we are truly disappointed however our thoughts and our prayers will be there. I am sure that wherever Don is he has taken charge and has reconnected with Cec, Paul, Gord and his many other friends who left before him. Sincere condolences – Margie and Mike
Dear Helen and Family,
It was very sad to hear of Don’s passing he was a great guy. Unfortunately Kathi and I cannot be with you tomorrow but wanted to send our condolences and to let you know that we wished that we could be with you on Wednesday to share and celebrate his life.
It has been a number of years since I last saw Don and understand that the past couple of years for him has been full of challenges. When Don and I worked together he always spoke with pride about his family and I know that you will all miss him very much.
God bless Don and God bless your family.
Kathikay and Garry Foster
Dear Helen,
Although the years have long since passed when we had so much fun with you and Don curling at Highland, we’ll always remember him as one of the truly “good” guys to be around. We are saddened to hear and so sorry for your loss,,, he was special.
My thoughts are with you as you sadly say goodbye to such a loving Husband, Dad and Grandpa. My gratitude always for the friendship, love and support he always showed my family. I know Cec loved him and their golfing stories and tales of their great adventures brought them so much happiness when health issues made it impossible to enjoy the game they both loved so much. Don’s lasting legacy is his beautiful family. Take comfort in the memories you have of his role in your life. He was a lovely man and a true gentleman.
Dear Helen
I’m sorry I was unable to attend Don’s funeral. My sincere condolences to you and your family.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Sincerely,
Jean McDaniel
