So sorry to hear of Heather Ferguson’s death. She and my mother, Bernice Morton, were close friends and worked together at Bell Canada in the 40s and 50s and I am actually named for her.
Was saddened to see the death notice of Heather in the Free Press this morning. Did not know her well but did know her friends here in Bayfield, Dora Warwick and Morrie Morrison. Dora died Jan. 11, 2011 and Morrie died this week May 2nd. Please let Margaret know. I did not know how to get in touch with her after these friends passed.
So sorry for your loss. I took Dora and Morrie to Parkwood to visit Heather when she was there and Morrie kind of lost touch with her after she left the Hospital. Morrie moved up to Goderich Place the 28th of Dec. and Dora was to go with her but was already in hospital and could not go. Morrie fell the first part of Feb and had been in Goderich hospital since. Please know my thoughts of sympathy are with you all as Heather was a lovely lady. Janet Earley Bayfield Ontario. 519-565-2230
We were saddened to hear that Heather has passed away. The Murray family were fortunate to have Heather as a friend and neighbour in Bayfield for over fifty years. We knew the summer had begun when Heather arrived in Bayfield. She knew three generations of Murrays. We remember when Heather and Ruth built the cottage and her family were all there to help. We remember the geraniums on her front porch. We remember our lovely, quiet chats. We remember Heather in the garden and admired her for her independence. Heather lived her life with a grace. We will miss her but we shall remember her and smile. With sincerest sympathy. Bud and Pat Langley, Doris Ball, Carole and John Halse and our extended families.
I was saddened when I heard from my cousin Cathy that Heather had passed away. I remember so well when I was young Heather and Ruth bringing my Aunt Pearl over to our place every Christmas Eve to deliver shortbread, Christmas cake and popcorn balls. It was a tradition they continued until my mother Ivah passed away. Fond memories forever. Kept in touch all these years.
My sincere condolences to your entire family. Three losses in 3 months is a lot to have to deal with. I did not now Heather personally, but want the family to know I am holding you all close in thoughts and prayers. Ronalee
