To Bill’s family: We have never met; but must tell you that Maude Coffin was one of my families dearest friends. In fact, she was at our daughter’s christening (godmother) and our daughter, Michele, always called her “Missah Maudie”. Myself, I always just called her “Coffin”. We kept in touch with Bill’s sister, Shirley, throuh the years as well. May the knowledge that others care bring you strength and comfort at this most difficult time. I lost my beloved sister, Heather, in July of 2010 and I know her family would wish me to convey their sympathies as well. We always had such great visits with Maude and Ida during her visits to Ridgetown. We now live not too far from Ida’s grandchildren (Betty Sherman’s family) – in Thamesville.
