GOVIER: Murray –
Peacefully, Murray Albert Govier, in his 93rd year, passed away at University Hospital, London, on Friday, March 11, 2011. Beloved husband, for 58 years, of Mildred (McCabe) Govier. Predeceased by his son Lawrence Robert Deane, his grandchildren, Terri Louise Deane and Timothy Deane, and his sisters Muriel, Irene and Hazel. Dear father-in-law of Catherine (Deane) McGrath. Dear brother of Jack Govier. Also loved by his grandson Michael Deane (Dianne), his great-grandchildren, Amanda, Brandon, Christopher and Meghan and his many nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be sadly missed by his many special friends (Coffee Buddies) at Cherryhill Mall. Friends were received by the family from 2 to 4 pm Sunday at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London where the funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday, March 14th at 11:00 am. Interment in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, London. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the London Health Sciences Foundation, University Dialysis Unit, 747 Baseline Road East, London, ON N6C 2R6 or Alzheimer Society of London and Middlesex, 435 Windermere Road, London, ON N5X 2T1. Millie … my sympathy to you at this very sad time. I remember how much Murray enjoyed his friends and all the good times you both shared with them.
