Barb & I have shared many memmories together. I visited her in Newfoundland and in the last few years have kept in contact by e-mail. I will miss her love and friendship very much. I know we were cousins but rarely saw each other in person but were still very close.

I am so sad to hear the passing of Barb. She was my friend. I am going to miss her so much. I have been sending her emails and jokes all week and didn’t know she had passed away. I am going to miss her terribly. She tutored my son Alex in elementary school and she helped me with some night school essays. We enjoyed our chit chats. A truly sweet, woman and I cherished our friendship. Kim MacLeod

In the years I worked with Barbara at Victoria School I never ceased to be impressed by her kindness and love for the children. Barbara was an excellent teacher and a truly wonderful person. She’ll be missed very much.
Barb was an exceptional teacher and friend to my son Alexander. She gave her students all the caring patience a parent could hope for.
Barb was also my favorite customer at the Shoppers where I work. I will miss talking to her every week. We were all saddened to here of her passing and she will be greatly missed.
Ms. Buchner knew the potential of her students and believed they could go far and strived for them to succeed. She was also an excellent piano player.

Barbara’s magic has touched our lives and we will never be the same. Her delightful sense of humour and her playful approach to life was a wonderful gift to all of us.I enjoyed working with Barb at Victoria Public School and we shared many memorable teaching experiences. We all loved our talented songbird. Barbara will sing on in our hearts forever!
How can words express the kind of person Barb was? My colleague, my mentor, and most of all my good friend. She was strong, talented, wise, genuine and compassionate. Barb was always there when advice was needed. Heaven has gained a wonderful singing angel. Barb, you are no longer in pain. Sing sweetly, and look down us with love as we try to mend the void of your earthly presence that left us so suddenly. You will always be remembered with love. Hugs, my friend.
Barbara was my grade 5 & 6 teacher. She was simply an amazing person and dedicated her craft by helping each and everyone of her students accomplish their goals. I’m only learning of her passing now after all these years. I’ll think of her with fond memories when I was at Knollwood Park P.S.
