STORER: Gertrude E. (nee Kaufmann): At Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Sunday, December 19th, 2010 in her 72nd year. Beloved wife of Reverend Donald L. Storer of 47 years. Dear mother of Brenda Koerber and her husband Andre (Andy) of Whitby and Monica Storer of Calgary. Also loved by her grand-daughters Clarissa and Isabelle Koerber of Whitby. Dear sister of Paul Kaufmann, Dora Alferink and her husband Bernie, Ruth Sigmund and her husband Ron all of London, Harold Kaufmann and his wife Norma of Denbigh and Norma Nowack and her husband Don of Guelph. Dear daughter of the late Emil (Paul) and Wilhelmine Kaufmann. Gertrude worked for 26 years at Tillsonburg Surgeon’s office and was a member of the Tillsonburg Artist Guild. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the New Apostolic Church, 795 Third Street at Cheapside Street, London on Tuesday, January 4th, 2011at 7:00 p.m. with Reverend Brian Sigmund officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to New Apostolic Foreign Extension Fund, 319 Bridgeport Road, East, Waterloo, ON N2V 2K9 or Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital Foundation, 167 Rolph Street, Tillsonburg, ON N4G 3Y9. Don – I am so sorry to hear of Gertrude’s passing – she was a lovely lady and a gifted artist. I will miss talking renovations with her. It was my privilege and pleasure to have known her.

I was totally shocked when I heard and than read about your loss of Gertrude.I still have great memories of Her attending the Camera Meetings at the SAC.I admired all her talents.Please be aware that I feel very sad also.

I am so very sad to hear about Gertrude’s passing. I loved painting with Gertrude, loved having her in my class and although I was the instructor, we sure did learn from each other. I will truly miss Gertrude for the rest of my life, she had the heart of an artist.
