ERSKINE, Bonnie Pearl Anne
At Victoria Hospital, London on Saturday, September 25, 2010 Bonnie P. A. (Gleason) Erskine in her 67th year. Dear daughter of Cecil Gleason of Calgary and the late Pearl Gleason (2005). She will be sadly missed by her daughters Dawn Sipos (Julius) of London, Dana Van Clieaf (John) of Burlington and Dianna Stanley (Shaun) of Milton and their father Robert Erskine of London. Loved grandmother of Sam, Maddy and Jack. Dear sister of Bruce, Michael, Cecil and Robert Gleason and Noreen Young and Teresa Gleason. Bonnie will also be missed by many extended family members. She was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing in Toronto (1967). Friends will be received by the family on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. The funeral mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Parish, 777 Valetta Street, London on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 2:00 pm with Father Tom Ferrera celebrant. Cremation with interment later in Woodland Cemetery, London. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 150-633 Colborne Street, London, ON N6B 2V3 would be appreciated. My! How you will be missed! You have become now, God’s Angel and at peace, but you will forever remain in our hearts and thoughts.

I was able to see Bonnie when she visited Teresa annually. Once Teresa rented a cabin and I had my trailer and camped along with them. Bonnie never ceased to make me laugh with her dry comments and often light hearter joy in many things. Bless her heart. May your sorrow be relieved to know she is now whole again in a peaceful place….with lots of donuts. hugs…Colleen

Every day, in every way Bonnie will be sadly missed. Too young to go, too kind to know how her presence enhanced our world. Softly there, never a complaint for care, strongly bared her lot. She lived, she gave, she cared, she dared…she bared and gave till the end. She will not be forgotten, her presence is still….her effect is permanent and her life is well appreciated. And even I, who have only known her for a short while, am grateful. I remember going to Essex with Uncle Cecil and Aunt Pearl when Diana was a baby and Bonnie was taking Dawn and Dana for a trip with Girl Guides and we stayed with Bob. Such a beautiful family. I had so much respect for Bonnie and I looked up to her. I hope I can be the Mother she was to my own children. She is now with the Lord and at peace and will always be with you.
