To the Kutyma family I wish to pass along my condolences. I am privileged to have met Paul at Cardiac Fitness where I work. A sincere, caring man who shared his wisdom and wit–and from time to time would see at our favourite barber shop. God bless.

family .We will remember Paul for the twinkle in his eyes,
sense of humour and accordian playing . God bless .
Dear Anita & family –
We were so sorry to hear of Paul’s death. He was one of our favourite neighbours – a big hearted and morally courageous man, willing to talk openly and thoughtfully about subjects that many people would shy away from. I was so impressed with his bravery when he consented to talk with me for that Remembrance Day column a few years ago about his memories and thoughts about the Second World War from the perspective of a young German man, almost a boy, pressed into service in one of Rommel’s tank squadrons, and also the perspective of a proud and loyal Canadian. One of my favourite memories of Paul was that evening when the block held a going away party for Norm and Val and their family, and Paul showed up with some delicious German sausage that he cut off in slices with a paring knife, sharing it with all and sundry, and tossing quite a few morsels to a small herd of neighbourhood dogs (including our Badger) that were attracted by the smell. What a good, kind man.
Anita, Gunda,Frank and Peter. It saddened us deeply upon hearing the loss of Paul. Our memories of him will last our lifetimes. When I told Mom, the ‘I remember when…’ stories went on for some time. He was such a genuine man. Be strong and cherish those stories.
