We are very saddened by the passing away of your mother. Our
condolences to all of your family.Great memories of a great
lady!
My sincere condolences to the family. I recall visiting your Mom a few years ago at Chelsey Park when my mother-in-law was also on the 3rd floor. I was touched that she remembered me. I do have fond memories of our lives on Hickson Ave, your mom’s great cooking and her kind manner. My particular memory is of her homemade hallowe’en candy – we always wanted to get there first before it ran out.
Hello Ian and Shaune and all the MacLeod clan, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Doreen. What a lovely person she was and I will hold fond memories (like you) in my mind of her. To me, she was a country-girl living in the city. I recall her love of antiques (all those little irons around the kitchen)and her garden on Hickson Ave. She was always interested in people and how they were getting along. A very compassionate soul. I liked her laugh. I recall the farm-tradition of a cedar tree at Christmas (Ian and I would often head to the farm to get one (back in the early 80’s). Doreen was a lovely person and I know you all will miss her dearly. I trust you will all take care of yourselves at this tough time and that you will hold her lovely memory close to you through the years ahead. You have all my best wishes and sympathies.
