Reflections
Glenn and I will miss seeing Hughey at Cherryhill and at Western Fair. Glenn and Hugh enjoyed teasing each other.Glenn could always get a big smile from Hugh with a silly joke. The last time we talked to Hugh he told us how much he enjoyed his plane trip and visit to Sault Saint Marie
Best regards and cheers

Dear Judy, John and family
We were saddened to learn of the death of your father. He was a wonderful family friend. I hope that he is once again playing cribbage with my dad, Murray Linden! I can hear them laughing now!
Love– Wendy
Dear Judy and Family,
We are so sorry to read of your Father’s death. I hadn’t realized that he was an ex service man, as was my Dad. May your wonderful memories of both your Mom and Dad sustain you always.

Hugh was a co-worker of mine and yes he was a true gentleman. He never talked much about his time in the
service during ww2 or that he was decorated,a very humble man.I had not seen Hugh for some time but I will still miss him.

I was sorry to learn of Hugh’s death. He was a real gentleman and I feel fortunate to have known him and Caroline for many years. I first met her as a young auditor when she was the Accountant for Mutual Wholesale. Our association continued after Murray sold that business and Caroline acted as his personal Accountant. She was one of the best in the business. Unfortunately I did not learn of her death until now though I knew she has been ill for some time. I saw Hugh regularly at the Cardiac Fitness Institute where he was a regular attendee and one of their first members. Their family will miss them but I am sure that they have wonderful memories of a great couple.

Deepest sympathy to you and your family members. Your Dad was certainly a kind man as well as a gentleman. My Mom, Thelma Stacey was in Apt 109 right by the Supt and Hugh’s apt. My Mom passed away in July 2009 but until that point I would hear about Hugh and Caroline and what lovely neighbours they were. My Mom always enjoyed chatting with them and occasionally gettng a jar lid opened or a chuckle when they met in the apt. hallway. Often when I visited Mom I would see them in the hallway or over at the mall.
I am sorry to see Caroline passed away in Sept. but did know she was ill. Mom was so concerned about her and Hugh.
My mother-in-law Jean Hamilton also lives in that building and was saddened by Hugh’s passing.
Thinking of you at this time.
Sincerely, Carol Hamilton
