I wish to express my deepest sympathy to Doreen’s family. I worked with her for several years at Granger Fuels. She helped me through a very difficult time in my life. She was a very caring individual always ready to lend a helping hand. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
I am very sorry for your loss; I had the pleasure to work with Doreen for 8 months. My thoughts and sympathies will be with you at this sad time.
I am sorry to hear about the loss of your loved one, Doreen. I was a co-worker of Doreen’s and we would get together for dinners and to share in a glass or two of wine on occasion. Doreen had a big heart and would help you with anything that you asked her. Doreen was my “memory”, as we use to joke about her memory being alot better then mine was. Doreen will be missed!
We want to express our deepest sympathy to the family. We were colleagues for many years and enjoyed the company of Doreen for 9 years. She was a wonderful person and a good friend. There are no words to express our sorrow. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

To the Family of Doreen:
It was with great shock and sadness that i learned of the sudden passing of Doreen and i wish to extend my deepest sympathy to all her family members. Doreen was a great asset to our condominium complex from its start and will be sadly missed by her many friends in the complex. We first met at the London & District Distress Centre as she was in the folowing class of volunteers after i joined the group in 1983. In 1986 Doreen and myself took over the training of new volunteers for the next few years and into the early ’90s. We shared many laughs and i will miss her subltle sense of humour. It was in conversation with Doreen in 1989 that i mentioned that my wife and i had purchased a condominium in this new complex and as she was interested in a move she investigated and purchased. She will be greatly missed by her many friends and associates that her life touched and the enriching experience from having known her. I have made a donation in her memory to the London Distress Centre where she was a very valued volunteer for so many years. She leaves a void in all our lives.
Yours sincerely,
Ralph Bull
Doreen contributed over 13 years of volunteer service to the London and District Distress Centre and although she left the LDDC over 11 years ago, her legacy remains with us – through the recollections of volunteers who worked with her, through seeing her name on the plaque of Honourary Members in the Call Room, and through the impact she made in her years of voluntarily training many, many new volunteers. I didn’t know Doreen during her time at the Distress Centre, but I and the community still benefit from the results of her work here.
I did, however, know Doreen in another way – as a friendly and contributing neighbour for the past 11 years.
Please know that Doreen will be missed in many ways and by many people.
Charlene Foster, Trainer & Volunteer Coordinator, London and District Distress Centre
I am very sorry for your loss…Doreen was an exceptional person with a great heart. 9 years ago I had the pleasure of being taught by her and have again been working with her these past few months. It was way to short. She will be deeply missed as my teacher, a co-worker and a dear friend. I enjoyed her company as we would joke about making a great forensic accounting team…some day in another life time I hope.
Bev,
I only met your sister once but she and I had a lovely evening with Kevin, at the Legion. You had it all planned, as usual, and we simply followed your lead.
Thinking of you,
Christine
