KENNEDY, Doris….
Peacefully, surrounded by her family at Saugeen Memorial Hospital, Southampton, on Monday, August 31, 2009, Doris (Bear, Bambrough) Kennedy in her 86th year of Port Elgin and formerly of London. Beloved wife of the late Ross Kennedy (2005) and the late George Bambrough (1961). Loving mother of Arleen Lizmore and her husband Harry “Joe” of Port Elgin and Debbie Smith. Cherished grandmother of Kim (Geoff) of Toronto, Chris of Mississauga, Todd and Stacey both of St. Thomas and Corey. Great-grandmother of Quade, Shayne, River and Cheyenne. Also missed by her many nieces and nephews. Dear sister-in-law of Eileen Bear. Predeceased by her siblings Charles Bear, Emma Liley, Leonard Bear, Alice Liley, Fred Bear, Walter Bear, Gertrude Smallman, Kathleen Delves, Edith Knight. Friends will be received by the family from 3-5 and 7-9pm Thursday, September 3, 2009 at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. The funeral service will be conducted at the Church of the Epiphany, 11 Briscoe Street West, London, on Friday, September 4, 2009 at 1:00 pm with Reverend Teresa Corrigan officiating. Cremation with interment in St. John’s Cemetery, Arva. We are so sad to hear of the loss of your mother. Aunt Doe was a very sweet lady. I know you all will miss her very much but take comfort in all those memories you still have. Our thoughts are with you all.
