Peacefully at Parkwood Hospital, London, on Sunday, August 23, 2009, in his 84th year. Born in Latvia, beloved husband of Ausma Tampa. Dear father of Laila Dambenieks (Andrejs), Rita Smith and John Tampa (Josee). Caring grandfather of Andrew, Peter, Brian and Amelia. Friends will be received by the family from 3 to 5 pm Thursday, at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London where the funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Friday, August 28th at 1:00 pm with Reverend Aina Avotins officiating. Interment in Woodland Cemetery, London.
