AGAR, Gladys……Gladys Maude Agar, born 1915 in St. Thomas, Ontario and moved to London as a young child. Promoted to Glory in London, Ontario on August 12, 2009. A committed Salvationist throughout her life and fiercely proud of her early service as a Salvation Army Officer. Predeceased by her parents, Albert Edward and Sheba Rebecca Agar, her sister Miriam Avey, her brothers Thomas, Albert, Charles, George and William. Sister of Lt. Colonel Bessie Hamilton. A caring Aunt to many nieces, nephews, great and great, great nieces and nephews. Friends will be received by the family at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London on Saturday, August 15, 2009 from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. The service will be held immediately following at 4:00 p.m. The private family interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, London at a later date. I will always remember the many times Aunt Glady took my siblings and I to the circus, fair and just even picking strawberrys in her backyard. She always referred to me as her “black eye suzie”. She was a kind, gentle, loving lady who will be missed but always fondly remembered.
