At Victoria Hospital, London, on Monday, August 10, 2009. James Albert “Jim” Powers of London in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Roberta “Bobby” Powers. Also loved by his children and grandchildren, Judy Sayles, her husband Kirk and their children Graham, Emily and Chad of Mount Pleasant, Scott Powers, his wife Lorraine and their children Kyle and Kevin of Mississauga and Linda Powers and her daughter Charia of Brantford, his step-children Steven Staniforth and his wife Sharon of Sarnia, Mike Staniforth and his wife Sharon of Denfield, Kevin Staniforth and his wife Florabel of London, Tammy Huey of Sarnia and Dan Staniforth and his wife Carol of Wallaceburg. Also loved by his 16 step-grandchildren, 9 step-great-grandchildren, and his brothers Bob Powers and his wife Milly of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and Bill Wright of Sarnia. Predeceased by his sisters Kay Mathers and Elsie Wright and his brother Bill Powers. Also missed by several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received by the family on Thursday, August 13th from 12 noon to 1:00 pm at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London where the funeral service will be conducted in the chapel at 1:00 pm. Cremation.
