It is with sadness that we have learned about the death of Aunty Iris. Her wish to be with Uncle Hughie has now been fulfilled. Our thoughts & prayers are with her family, we have many fond memories of times with Hughie & Iris to carry in our hearts. Sadly missed, fondly remembered – Irene (Andrew Mackie), Andrea & Denny, Kim & Deba and Catherine & Christoper.
We are saddened that we will not be able to attend Auntie Iris’ funeral. She was a great lady, and I have fond memories of her going back over 60 years. She let me “drive” Uncle Hughie’s Chev when he was in Korea. Sue and I spent part of our honeymoon with Iris and Hughie. They were both parents away from home for out 3 children when they were living in Southern Ontario. (I think Jennifer even went to see Auntie Iris to do her laundry!) Iris treated all of the children of the various generations as if they were her own. She will be missed greatly.
