Morton, Freeman……
Peacefully at Parkwood Hospital, London, on Friday, May 1, 2009, Freeman Earl “Mort” Morton in his 87th year. Beloved husband of the late Betty L. (Pont) Morton. Dear father of Stew Morton and his wife Karen of Brockville, Richard Morton and Timothy Morton both of London. Loving grandfather of Melissa, Samantha and Erin. Also missed by his sister Doris Murray, his nieces, nephews and other family members. Predeceased by his brothers Stuart and Bob Morton. The family will receive friends from 12 – 1 pm on Monday, May 4th, 2009 at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. A Legion Service under the auspices of Byron Legion, Branch No. 533 will be conducted in the chapel at 1:00 pm, with the funeral service to follow. Cremation with a family interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, London. We first met Freeman at the Byron Legion Friday night dances. Then he became friends with Marg Karl.
Marg was a dear friend of my Mom, Doris Waud, and they bowled together.
Freeman attended our daughter’s wedding almost 10 years ago.
Freeman was a fine gentleman.
